Fitch Fiscal Index Analytical Tool
01Overview
The Fitch Fiscal Index Analytical Tool is a downloadable Excel-based resource that leverages Fitch’s proprietary Interactive Sovereign Rating Model to combine the four key fiscal variables with the strongest statistical relationship to our past ratings, and quantifies the contribution of each of these variables to a given sovereign’s aggregated fiscal position.
The tool enables users to better understand a Fitch-rated sovereign’s fiscal position compared to peers and benchmarks, assess the fiscal pressure on a sovereign’s creditworthiness, and view the expected future path based on Fitch Ratings analysts’ forecasts.
It can be used for all sovereigns currently rated by Fitch Ratings, including both Emerging and Developed Markets.
